Growing Reformed Churches Conference March 11-12, 2016

On March 11-12,  2016, the First United Reformed Church of Chino will host their annual Growing Reformed Churches Conference. This year's conference is entitled Suffering  and the Christian Life, and features Dr. Edward Welch, Dr. W. Robert Godfrey, Dr. Dennis Johnson, and Rev. Ron Scheuers.

Early bird rates end February 29, 2016. The conference will be held at the First United Reformed Church, 6159 Riverside Drive, Chino, CA 91710 on Friday, March 11 starting at 6:00pm and Saturday, March 12 starting at 8:30am.

 

Academy Class: February 26, 2016

The next Academy class will be held on Friday, February 26 at 7:30 p.m.

Dr. Riddlebarger will continue with our series "In the Land of Nod", a discussion of the Reformed doctrine of the two kingdoms.  In this lecture we'll be addressing the great American heresy — "Civil Religion."

Join us Wednesday, February 17 for Evening Prayer and Bible study at 7:30 p.m.

Dr. Riddlebarger is currently teaching verse by verse through 1 Thessalonians.

Dr. Riddlebarger will continue with our series "In the Land of Nod."  We are discussing the Reformed doctrine of the two kingdoms.  In this lecture we will address the matter of "Which Came First?  The Family or the State."  The lecture begins at 7:30 p.m.

Dr. Riddlebarger will continue with our series "In the Land of Nod."  We are discussing the Reformed doctrine of the two kingdoms.  This week we will address the possibility of "Christian" nations in the new covenant era and then we will discuss the importance of Christians as "good citizens."

On Saturday, February 6, the men's book club will meet at the home of Bob and Adriana Reeves. Join us at 6:00 p.m. for dinner, fellowship, and discussion of Dennis Johnson's book Triumph of the Lamb: A Commentary on Revelation (P&R, 2001). For this meeting, we will be discussing chapter 9 (pgs. 177-198). These pages correspond to Rev. 12:1-13:18, so make sure to read those passages as well.
