Rev. Dr. Daniel Borvan, Pastor of Preaching
Rev. Dr. Daniel Borvan is pastor of preaching ministry at Christ Reformed Church. His responsibilities are to “preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching” (2 Timothy 4:2).
Rev. Borvan earned his Master of Divinity degree from Westminster Seminary California in 2011. As a student at Westminster Seminary he learned that all study of Scripture, theology, and church history is put into practice in the worship and work of the church. The goal is to glorify Christ by serving His church. At Westminster Seminary he also earned a Master of Arts degree in Historical Theology. His thesis paper was on Faustus Socinus.
In 2019 Daniel went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy in Theology from Oxford University in England. His interest was on the French Reformation which prompted him to write his doctoral dissertation on Pierre Du Moulin, "Fighting For The Faith: Pierre Du Moulin's Polemical Quest." He recently gave a presentation on the perseverance of the French Reformation Church at Providence Christian College.
Rev. Borvan is chairman of the Heidelberg Reformation Association. Some of his published articles are on the Heidelblog website.
On September 29, 2023, Daniel was installed as pastor of preaching ministry at Christ Reformed Church having served four years at Grace Torrance United Reformed Church in Torrance, California as minister of Word and sacrament.
Rev. Borvan is married to Marcy and they have two daughters and a son.
Rev. Brad Lenzner, Pastor of Congregational Care
Rev. Brad Lenzner is the pastor of congregational care at Christ Reformed Church where he has served full-time since June of 2016. His responsibilities center on pastoral care and counseling as well as preaching. He also shares the teaching of the Adult Bible class.
After graduating from the University of Maryland in College Park with a B.A. in History, Rev. Lenzner attended Westminster Seminary in California (Escondido) where he earned his Masters of Divinity (M.Div) in 2007. He has been an ordained minister in the URCNA since 2010.
Before Christ Reformed Church, Rev. Lenzner served as the pastor of Emmanuel URC in Hanford, CA. He also served as a church planter for the URCNA in Rifle, CO.
Brad greatly enjoys dark coffee, learning about new computer technology, reading up about what is going on in the world, and powerlifting. Brad is married to Samantha, and they have three children, Elijah, Aubrielle, and Bella.
Rev. Yi Wang, Church Planter-Pastor
Rev. Yi Wang is serving as the church planter-pastor at Christ Reformed Church. In God’s sovereign grace, we are praying that God will plant a Chinese Reformed church here in the great Los Angeles area.
Yi obtained a B.Sc. of Architecture from Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy (2015) and a M.Div from Westminster Seminary California (2018). Yi was called and ordained as “Minister of Word and Sacrament” by Christ Reformed Church on November 24, 2019.
Yi likes cooking both Chinese and Italian food, taking espresso twice a day, discussing theology, and making new friends. Yi is married to his lovely wife Huimin, they have two sons, Alessio and Berit.
Mr. Brian Hogan, Choir Director
Brian Hogan is Director of Music and conducts the Adult Choir. Brian graduated from Biola University in 1998 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with a Vocal Emphasis. While at Biola he studied Choral Conducting with Mr. Loren Wiebe and Dr. Shawna Stewart, and Vocal Pedagogy with Dr. Jeanne Robison. He began teaching at Kennedy High School in the Anaheim Union High School District in 1999. In 2010 he completed a Master's Degree in Choral Conducting with Donald Brinegar and Dr. William Belan at California State University, Los Angeles. Brian is in his ninth year as the Director of the Vocal Music Department of Oxford Academy in Cypress, CA where he conducts 275 students in six different choirs.
Agatha Teague, Organist
Agatha is a member of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) and a three time competitor and recipient of the Guild's scholarship program. Prior to becoming an organist at Christ Reformed Church, Agatha served for four years as chapel organist at Rowntree Gardens, a senior living community in Orange County.
Agatha is former student of Dr. Pamela Compton (Christ Reformed Church's previous organist) and is currently refining her skills under the instruction of Mrs. Esther Jones, a music teacher at California State University in Fullerton.

Dr. Kim Riddlebarger, Pastor Emeritus
Dr. Kim Riddlebarger is now serving as Pastor Emeritus here at Christ Reformed Church. For more than twenty-five years he also served as a co-host of the White Horse Inn radio program..
A fourth generation Californian, Kim is a graduate of California State University Fullerton (B.A.), Simon Greenleaf University (M.A.), Westminster Seminary California (M.A.R.), and Fuller Theological Seminary (Ph.D.) where he worked under Richard A. Muller.
Kim has served as a visiting lecturer in the graduate program in Reformation studies at Concordia University in Irvine, CA, and was the chairman of the Growing Reformed Churches Conference, cosponsored by First Chino URC and Westminster Seminary California, where he served as a member of the board of trustees. Kim also served as executive vice president of Christians United for Reformation (CURE), the forerunner of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals (ACE). Kim has also served several terms as visiting professor of systematic theology at Westminster Seminary California.
Dr. Riddlebarger is an ordained minister in the United Reformed Churches (URCNA), is a regular contributor to publications such as Modern Reformation and Table Talk and has written chapters for numerous books including, Power Religion (Moody), Roman Catholicism: Evangelicals Analyze What Unites and What Divides Us (Moody), and Christ the Lord (Baker), Theologia et Apologia (Wipf and Stock, 2006), Called to Serve (Reformed Fellowship, 2007), Risking the Truth (Christian Focus, 2009). Always Reforming: Essays in Honor of W. Robert Godfrey (2010), and Planting, Watering, Growing: Planting Confessionally Reformed Churches in the 21st Century (Reformation Heritage, 2011), Reformation Theology (Crossway, 2017).
Kim is the author of four books: A Case For Amillennialism, (Baker Books, 2003/2013), and The Man of Sin: Uncovering the Truth About the Antichrist (Baker Books, 2006), First Corinthians: The Lectio Continua Expository New Testament Commentary (Tolle Lege Press, 2013); and The Lion of Princeton: B. B. Warfield as Apologist and Theologian (Lexham Press, January 2015).
Kim is married to Micki, and has two adult sons, David and Mark. He is interested in family history and is presently writing a history of the Riddlebarger family. Kim is also a life-long New York Yankees fan.
