A Service of Lessons and Carols: December 23, 2022

You, your family and friends are invited to join us as we gather for the annual Service of Lessons and Carols on Friday, December 23 at 7:30 p.m.

This is a wonderful opportunity to hear the Scriptures read and proclaimed, sing Christmas carols, and hear the choir sing choral works especially fitting for this time of year. What makes this service so rich is that the liturgy situates the birth of Christ against the backdrop of redemptive history. The incarnation is a key part of the creation-fall-redemption-consummation movement in scripture and the nine lessons illustrate that vividly.

Ladies' Book Club: September 24, 2022

Ladies, join us on Saturday, September 24 at 2:00 p.m. for our next Ladies’ Book Club. At this meeting we will be discussing Nancy Gutherie’s new book, Blessed: Experiencing the Promise of the Book of Revelation. Our location is to be determined. We hope that you will join us for a great time of fellowship and discussion.

Over 12 chapters, Blessed covers the full text of the book of Revelation, exploring its call to patient endurance as God’s sovereign plans for judgment and salvation are worked out in the world. In this book, Guthrie shows how Revelation is less about when Jesus will return and more about who we are to be, what we are to do, and what we can expect to endure as we wait for Jesus to return to establish his kingdom in the new creation.
